Keira Carter is a singer/songwriter based in the West Midlands, UK. Being born in the big city of Birmingham she has gained a lot of interest with her music locally through her current work revolving around Event's Management, Vocal Coaching, Guitar/Drum Teaching, Producing and being a Self Published Artist.
January 11th Keira played alongside Birmingham based band "Pluviam" at The Actress & Bishop. With reccent emerges at The Sunflower Lounge for her EP LAUNCH on 1st May 2019.
Her music has reached out further through the help of networking with other musicians and gaining followers over social media. She surrounds herself around performers and art orientated people to support the local creativity scene.
Some of Keira's musical influences includes artists from a wide range of genre's including; Dawn Penn, Billie Eilish, Al Green, Ben Howard, The XX, Tash Sultana.
She self taught herself multiple instruments, including; drums, bass, steel pans, ukulele, electric guitar and acoustic guitar/ vocals being her main instruments.
Keira has played at well known West Midland venues such as the Robin 2, NIA Birmingham, Mockingbird, Medicine and radio shows including; Kerrang Radio Station, South Birmingham Radio and WCRFM.
Keira has won numerous talent competitions including 'Edgbaston's Got Talent' 'Battle of the Bands' and participated in a lottery funded organisation called 'Sound It Out'.
Keira has achieved many things on all different levels in the music industry, not only with on stage performing but also working behind the scenes to help other local artists be brought into the spotlight by hosting open mic nights in Wolverhmapton.
One big achievement of 2016 was the Mayfly Festival, which Keira participated in a 'LULU' tribute band on the main stage performing backing vocals and both rhythm and lead guitar. Keira was also stage manager of the acoustic tent and took on the role of setting up, mixing and introducing.
Keira puts a modern twist onto her live sets by producing her own backing tracks beforehand and then performing her vocals and guitar alongside it live. This quirky supplement she has added draws a lot of attention and has resulted her into headlining numerous shows throughout 2017.
As well as being part of the open mic circuit Keira has also achieved huge suceess in terms of festivals including headlining the Birmingham Coffee Festival 2017/18, at The Custard Factory in aid of the 'Black Country Kitchen' and one of her biggest recent achievements being "Simmer Down Festival 2018".
Keira is currently part of "Punch Records" an organisation that runs an arts camp called "Gallery37" and Keira is based in Lyrical Camp. This allows artists a space to create new material and gig with it in some of the top venues in the Digbeth area.
May 2019 Keira's first EP" was released on Itunes, Spotify and all digital outlet stores. Check out "To You"
